Experience

Rita Liu is a director in the firm's DC Metro office with over 25 years of diversified audit, reviews, and accounting experience, including employee benefit plan audits and related Form 5500 and Form 990 preparation, auto dealerships and audits of not-for-profits entities, and related Form 990 preparation.

She is experienced in all types of employee benefit plan audits, including health and welfare plans, 401(k) plans and ESOPs, as well as the related Form 5500 and Form 990 preparations. Rita is responsible for overseeing the preparation of approximately 40 Form 5500s for a publicly held government contractor client.

She has extensive experience with automobile dealership accounting, financial statement reporting, and related tax returns preparation. She is also experienced in audits of nonprofit organizations (including single audits), government contractors, construction contractors, and real estate holding companies.

Prior to joining Citrin Cooperman, Rita was a manager at a local accounting firm.
