Zohaib Qamar is a partner in the firm's quality control department with over 13 years of accounting experience. He works with the firm's Audit and Attest Practice to ensure the quality of audit engagements. He has experience in a broad range of industries, including financial services.
Zohaib has provided services to a broad range of clients including mutual funds, hedge funds, employee benefit plans, insurance companies, and broker-dealers. He has extensive experience with financial statement assurance, technical accounting, SEC reporting, and regulatory compliance.
Prior to joining Citrin Cooperman, Zohaib served as an inspection specialist at the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board (PCAOB) through which he has experience assessing the degree of compliance with the Sarbanes-Oxley Act, the PCAOB, the Securities and Exchange Commission, and professional standards in connection with the performance of audits, issuance of reports, and related matters involving brokers and dealers.
Before his time at the PCAOB, Zohaib served as an assurance manager in PwC's asset management group, leading multiple engagements across the SEC registered and non-registered fund spaces. He has a strong understanding and experience with US GAAP, US GAAS, PCAOB auditing standards, FASB, and SEC. Zohaib is fluent in all areas of the audit process, including audit planning, fieldwork, and completion of audit work. He has hands-on experience reviewing and analyzing client internal controls over financial reporting, identified issues, and making recommendations to resolve those issues.

Community Involvement
Zohaib has served as an adjunct professor at Queens College and Baruch College, where he has taught hundreds of students. He also has 10 years of experience developing and teaching accounting, auditing, and industry specific curriculum in the industry. He is the co-founder and director of a non-profit organization which seeks to help minority students succeed in their careers through mentorship.
