Experience
Steven Appel is a tax partner in the firm’s South Florida office with over 30 years of experience. His expertise includes general individual and corporate taxation, estate and trust taxation, partnership and real estate taxation, and inbound and outbound U.S. international taxation.
Prior to joining Citrin Cooperman, Steven was a tax partner of Appelrouth, Farah & Co., which joined Citrin Cooperman in 2022. He also served as tax director at PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP, leading their Orlando, FL tax practice, and at Coopers & Lybrand LLP where he led their Ft. Myers, FL tax practice. His focus has been on middle market, closely-held entrepreneurial businesses, including real estate developers and operators, and the principals of the businesses. Steven provides tax planning and compliance services from the development / start-up phase, through the operational stage, to the disposition stage.
