Sarah S. Kim has extensive experience with advising business and individual clients with various types of taxes, including corporate income and franchise tax, personal income tax, pass-through entity tax, sales and use tax, real estate transfer tax, employer withholding tax, and commercial rent tax.
Sarah advises clients on diverse state tax issues, including nexus, sourcing of income, optimal filing methodology, voluntary disclosure programs, and state credit and incentive programs. She represents clients in tax controversies in various jurisdictions and identifies potential state tax compliance exposures and refund opportunities. In addition, she conducts state and local tax due diligence in connection with various M&A transactions.
Prior to joining Citrin Cooperman, Sarah advised Fortune 500 and middle market businesses across an array of industries at Big Four accounting firms. While in law school, Sarah interned in the Audit Division and Legal Affairs Division of the NYC Department of Finance.
