Experience

Russ is a partner in Citrin Cooperman’s Audit and Attest Practice based out of the Middleburg Heights, OH office. Russ has over 21 years of public accounting experience performing and managing audits, reviews, compilations, and providing consulting services to a variety of clients.

Russ has significant experience on for-profit and not-for-profit engagements (including those with government audit standards and single audit requirements), low-income housing tax credit project audits (including experience in dealing with Ohio Capital Corporation for Housing), HUD audits (including HUD audits under the Uniform Grant Guidance), cost certifications (including HUD and historic tax credits), ERISA employee benefit plans (401(k), 403(b), health and welfare), operational and internal control reviews, industry benchmarking and financial assessment reports, and business advisory services. He also has experience with various types of not-for-profit transactions.

Previously, Russ was a principal at HW&Co., which joined Citrin Cooperman in 2025.
