Robena Jafari is a partner and deputy leader of the firm tax services based in California. Her key responsibilities include supporting operational leadership, management of our firm’s tax practice, in addition to the development and implementation of tax strategy to drive digital optimization, organizational growth, and enterprise value. Her extensive tax technical expertise complimented by her passion for people and culture, serve as a catalyst for enhancing our brand, and building high value partnerships.

Prior to joining Citrin Cooperman, Robena served as a managing partner at a top 10 accounting firm in key tax leadership roles, a member of the tax leadership team, and on the Board of Directors of an international organization delivering tax services across six continents.  She has built and led high-performing advisory teams across multiple geographies, and technical disciplines, including international tax, transfer pricing, IRS advocacy, state and local tax, credits and incentives, innovation credits, fixed assets, global customs and trade, international indirect tax, accounting methods, global mobility, international private wealth, and transactional tax advisory.

Complementing her advisory leadership experience, she led operational teams, and managed strategy for a top 10 Washington National Tax office overseeing tax policy, governance of risk, and delivery of specialized tax technical guidance.
