Phil is a partner in Citrin Cooperman's Automotive Dealership Industry Practice with over 12 years of experience in public accounting. He is based out of the firm’s Florham Park, NJ office.
Phil began his career at several firms where he developed specialized expertise in dealership consulting, dealership valuations, automotive technology companies, tax and financial statement engagements, transaction advisory, and real estate and cost segregation accounting, with a deep understanding of operational analysis, benchmarking, and cash optimization for retail dealers. He has given numerous presentations for dealer associations and is a regular contributor to monthly publications in the automotive space.
Prior to Citrin Cooperman, Phil worked at national advisory and accounting firm as a senior manager.

Phil regularly contributes to publications both internally and externally, including NYSADA, NJCAR, and CADA, and leads webinars on various topics from the proper presentation of dealer financial statements, 8300 best practices, cryptocurrency, tax legislation, and electric vehicle (EV) trends. He is dedicated to networking with automotive professionals of all kinds so that he can bring value and recommendations to clients.
WORK-LIFE BALANCE
Community Involvement
Phil is an active member of his community, volunteering at Clean Ocean Action, and serves as a volunteer at the New York-New Jersey and Monmouth County Trail Foundations. He is an active advocate for land and animal conservation and works to report striped bass migration data in the Northeast. He also volunteers as a trail builder at several local parks.
Outside the Office
Outside of the office, Phil enjoys fishing the northeast canyons for tuna, clamming in Barnegat Bay, hiking and camping in the Adirondacks and Rockies, and snowboarding and surfing all over the world. He resides in Monmouth County with his twin daughters, wife, and two dogs.
