Matthew Murphy is a partner with more than 20 years of experience providing accounting, audit, and advisory services.
Matthew brings a wealth of knowledge to his clients, with experience spanning several industries, including publishing companies, service companies, manufacturing, not-for-profit organizations, construction, financial services, technology, wholesale distribution, retail, real estate, and health care.
Prior to joining Citrin Cooperman, Matthew was a partner at a regional accounting firm.
Matthew also has extensive experience auditing employee benefit plans, primarily defined contribution 401(k) plans. Matthew’s experience effectively managing the audit process and understanding the nuances of the industry enables him to assist plan sponsors to be in compliance with ERISA and Department of Labor guidelines. In addition, Matthew has experience with auditing and advising publicly traded clients to be in compliance with SEC reporting requirements.
