James Dorman is a partner in the firm’s Audit and Attest practice. James has over 18 years of experience with Big 4 accounting firms and various industries.

James has experience in a variety of industries including healthcare, manufacturing, and consumer products. In his previous positions, he has served as a technical resource/Subject Matter Expert for Internal Controls over Financial Reporting, a Business Combination Subject Matter Expert, and a Critical Audit Matters Subject Matter Expert. He has also served as a tax subject matter expert with a focus on U.S. tax reform and performed inspections of both audits of engagements, and a Firm’s system of quality controls. James also has experience performing audits of SEC registrants.

Prior to his position at Citrin Cooperman, James worked as a Professional Practice Director in Audit Quality for BDO. James has also worked at Deloitte & Touché, as well as the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board where he performed client service for Deloitte and performed inspections of a Global “Big 4” Accounting Firm at the PCAOB.
