Danielle Russo is a partner in Citrin Cooperman’s New York City office and has nearly 20 years of experience in performing and managing audits, reviews, and compilations for a variety of industries. Danielle specializes in film production incentives, manufacturing and distribution, and employee benefit plans. Danielle also has experience working with a diverse range of clients in consumer goods and service businesses. In addition, she is an active and instrumental member of the firm’s Film Production Tax Incentives and Employee Benefits Committees.

Danielle leads the firm's Film Production Tax Incentives Practice. She provides specialized expertise in navigating audit and agreed upon procedures requirements to assist independent filmmakers and major film and television studios leverage film tax credits. Danielle and her team provide superior service in an efficient and timely manner to quickly turn around CPA reports to obtain credit certificates in several states, including but not limited to California, New York, New Jersey, Connecticut Pennsylvania, North Carolina, and New Mexico. Danielle and her team also provide consulting services to productions throughout the country.

Danielle has extensive experience auditing financial statements for manufacturing and distribution clients, including companies with foreign operations and an international presence. As an audit specialist, Danielle helps her clients develop strategies and analyze internal efficiencies and reporting processes to significantly improve them. Danielle specializes in working closely with wine and spirits distributors.

In addition, Danielle has extensive experience auditing single-employer and multi-employer defined contribution 401(k) plans. She is an industry professional who understands the complex regulatory and reporting requirements for these plans. Danielle guides employee benefit plan sponsors to ensure they are operating according to fiduciary requirements, updated regulations, and plan documents and amendments.
