Chris Brown is an audit partner with over 30 years of experience advising a broad range of institutional investors, middle-market investment firms and emerging managers in the real estate, private equity, and financial services industries. He provides his clients with services including PCAOB and AICPA financial statement audits, accounting advisory, risk management, SEC regulatory compliance, and business performance improvement. 

Prior to joining Citrin Cooperman in August 2019, Chris was an audit and assurance partner at a member firm of Ernst & Young. He previously served in various leadership roles, including as partner in charge of the assurance and advisory services and on the executive and quality and risk committees. 

Chris' clients include institutional investors, corporate pension funds, private equity funds, real estate companies, investment management and strategic growth companies. Chris has extensive experience assisting his clients with meeting regulatory and financial reporting requirements, including the enhancement of internal controls. Chris has direct experience working with private equity and real estate investment funds and operating companies.
