Terry Silver, CPA, CVA, CFF
Terry Silver is a partner with over 35 years of experience providing business valuation and merger and acquisition solutions. He also provides high-level tax, business consulting, and audit services to his clients. Terry’s expertise is in a range of industries, including health care, technology, professional services, manufacturing and distribution, and construction.
Previously, Terry was a founding partner in the accounting firm Yampolsky, Mandeloff, Silver & Ryan, which joined Citrin Cooperman in 2007.
As both a business valuation and tax authority, Terry’s consulting services extend far beyond general financial and compliance matters. He spends a substantial amount of his practice performing business valuations and consulting on mergers and acquisitions, as well as buy-sell agreements, gifting, and succession planning. Terry brings a holistic, team-oriented approach to his engagements, working cooperatively with other involved parties to strategize and negotiate the best possible outcome for his clients.
Terry provides expert witness testimony in Pennsylvania and New Jersey Courts.
An expert in the health care sector, Terry is engaged by physician practices and hospital systems to prepare business valuations in the context of practice acquisitions, business disputes, and divorce.
Terry has significant experience with industry-specific accounting and tax nuances associated with technology industries and advises software companies from incubation to final sale.
Growing and preserving his clients’ wealth is of utmost importance to Terry. He executes exit plans, sales strategies, and tax compliance and planning for his clients to maximize their wealth.
Presentations and Publications
Terry authors articles for The Legal Intelligencer, where he addresses various topics in relation to business valuation and forensic accounting. Terry has been engaged to speak for organizations such as Janney Montgomery Scott and the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners. He also presents in Philadelphia at the Pennsylvania Bar Institute, which is the continuing education arm of the Pennsylvania Bar Association.
Terry is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts (NACVA). He serves on the Board of Directors of the Montgomery County Association for the Blind (MCAB).
Education & Licenses
Terry received his B.A. from LaSalle University. He is a Certified Public Accountant in the State of Pennsylvania. He is also accredited in Business Valuation through the NACVA and is certified in Financial Forensics through the AICPA.
