Sharon, a director in Citrin Cooperman’s Livingston, N.J. office, performs audits, reviews and compilations for businesses in a variety of industries, as well as tax return preparation for businesses and individuals. Sharon has a passion for her trade and client service, having started working in accounting in her senior year of high school. She graduated from William Paterson University with a B.S. in accounting in 1997 and has joined Citrin Cooperman in 2001 when the firm acquired Horton & Company.
Sharon is an active member of the Morris County Chamber of Commerce. In June 2011 she was appointed to a 2-year term as a member of the Morris County Chamber of Commerce’s Women in Business Steering Committee which is dedicated to empowering women in their professional and personal lives. In June 2012, Sharon was chosen to serve a 3-year term as one of the approximately 35 members to the Chamber’s newly formed Morris Member’s Council. The Member Council will serve as an organizational component of the chamber together with the Board of Directors and the Business Cabinet. The Council is designed to understand issues impacting business, to assist the business community and aid in executing program and community outreach in Morris County.
In 2010, Sharon was honored by Strathmore’s Who’s Who. She is also a member of the New Jersey Staffing Associations and New Jersey Society of CPAs. In 2013 Sharon was appointed to the Ambassador Committee of the Morris County Chamber of Commerce.
In her community, Sharon serves as treasurer for a parent-teacher association, is a Girl Scout leader and a cheerleading coach. She is also involved in the local Boy Scouts as well as other organizations in which her three children participate.
