Paula Vuksic, CPA, MST


Paula Vuksic, a tax partner, has more than 20 years of experience in the areas of tax compliance and reporting. Her practice consists of high net worth individuals, closely held businesses across a range of industries, and estates and trusts. She also regularly collaborates with the firm’s practices to provide support on various tax matters.
Earlier in her career, Paula worked for 10 years at a NJ-based accounting firm that joined Citrin Cooperman in 2000.
As a tax specialist, Paula is highly involved in preparing and reviewing corporate and partnership returns and tax documents for her business clients. She has deep expertise in international tax and expatriate matters, helping clients navigate various tax issues associated with living and working abroad or temporarily working in the U.S. She is also highly knowledgeable in preparing complex returns for delinquent and Offshore Voluntary Disclosure Initiative (OVDI) cases.
For not-for-profits, Paula helps clients ensure that they maintain the correct governance and procedures. Additionally, she helps tax-exempt organizations understand and comply with issues related to the unrelated business income tax.
Presentations and Publications
As a media resource, Paula has been quoted as an expert in the Star Ledger. She has also written various articles on tax-related topics, which have appeared in NY Metro Parents and New Jersey Business, among other publications.
Paula is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the New Jersey Society of Certified Public Accountants (NJSCPA). She is also on the Audit and Finance Committee for St. Catherine Academy in the Bronx. Paula was recently named as one of the 2014 Top 10 Public Accounting Professionals in New Jersey by the National Academy of Public Accounting Professionals. She serves as service unit treasurer of the Girl Scouts of Northern New Jerey. Paula also volunteers her time as a mentor at the Pesce Family Mentoring Institute in New Jersey, specifically working with students who are interested in the accounting field. 
Education & Licenses
Paula graduated Magna Cum Laude from Fairleigh Dickenson University with a B.S. in Accounting and obtained her M.S.T. from Seton Hall University. She is a Certified Public Accountant in the States of New Jersey and New York. Paula earned the AICPA Not-for-Profit Certificate I which requires a comprehensive, foundational understanding of a not-for-profit organizations' unique financial needs.
