Mitzi Hollenbeck is a partner in the Firm’s Braintree, MA office with over 15 years of experience providing accounting and audit services, tax planning, business consulting, and technical accounting research services. Her affinity for research stemmed from her previous work at the Governmental Accounting Standards Board (GASB) where she researched standards and published interpretive guidance relating to derivatives, pension reporting, and other financial statement disclosures. Mitzi translates her knowledge behind the standards setting process to the research needs of closely held companies. Additionally, as a certified fraud examiner, Mitzi has broad experience in the areas of internal controls, litigation support, and internal fraud investigations.
Prior to joining Citrin Cooperman, Mitzi was a partner at a Boston-area CPA firm.
Mitzi focuses on the accounting needs of closely-held businesses from consulting to audit mainly in the manufacturing, distribution, and employee benefit plan arenas. She provides expert witness, litigation support, and internal fraud investigation services to clients in a variety of industries.
Mitzi is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the Massachusetts Society of Certified Public Accountants (MSCPA), and the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE). She serves as a board member for the Old Colony YMCA, the Middleboro branch of the Old Colony YMCA, and the Cranberry County Chamber of Commerce’s Legislative Committee. In 2014 Mitzi was elected to the Board of Selectmen in her hometown of Lakeville, MA where she continues to serve in that capacity along with a number of other town government boards and commissions.

Mitzi earned her B.S. in Accounting from University of Massachusetts, Dartmouth, and an M.S. in Accounting from The University of Connecticut. She is a Certified Public Accountant in the State of Massachusetts and a Certified Fraud Examiner.
