Michael Crawley is an audit director in Citrin Cooperman’s Rhode Island office. He provides attest services for closely held and privately owned businesses, in addition to governmental entities. Mike has significant experience with Sarbanes-Oxley Section 404 and internal audit services for public companies. He directs all phases of the firm’s engagements, including client relationship, planning, fieldwork, and financial reporting in the governmental, manufacturing, real estate, engineering, construction, telecommunications, and event industries.
Previously, Mike was an audit senior manager at LGC+D, which joined Citrin Cooperman in 2016.
Presentations and Publications
Mike was featured in Providence Business News’ (PBN) as a recipient of the 40 Under Forty awards, in recognition of his career successes and community involvement, including volunteering and leadership within the American Lung Association of the Northeast (ALANE), the Friedreich’s Ataxia Research Alliance (FARA), and other philanthropic groups. In addition, Mike serves as a speaker and career shadowing counselor for accountancy students at Providence College and Bryant University.
Mike is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accounants (AICPA) and the Rhode Island Society of Certified Public Accountants (RISCPA). He is deeply committed to the American Lung Association of the Northeast (ALANE) and the Friedreich’s Ataxia Research Alliance (FARA), currently serving as an officer of ALANE’s Board of Directors, Finance Committee, and as a member of the Audit Committee, among other leadership positions for both organizations.
Education & Licenses
Mike earned a B.S. in Accounting and an M.B.A. from Providence College followed by an M.S. in Taxation from Bryant University. He is a Certified Public Accountant in the State of Rhode Island.
