Michael Camacho is an audit partner in Citrin Cooperman’s Rhode Island office with more than 20 years of experience in public accounting. Mike’s focus is on audit, attest, and consulting for public and private companies. His expertise is concentrated in serving commercial niches such as manufacturing, service, distribution, technology, and media and telecommunications.
Previously, Mike was an audit partner at LGC+D, which joined Citrin Cooperman in 2016. At LGC+D, he led the firm’s Corporate Solutions Group. Prior to LGC+D, Mike served eight years as an audit manager at a global accounting firm, where he was responsible for managing the audits of domestic and multinational public and private companies, as well as serving as a local and national facilitator for the firm.
Aside from providing attest and consulting services, Mike is an internal control specialist, focused on helping companies evaluate the adequacy of their financial, operational, and IT internal controls. To this end, he provides compliance related internal control services and outsourced internal audit services.

Mike was featured in Providence Business News’ (PBN) as a recipient of the 40 Under Forty awards, which recognizes the next generation of business community leaders.
Mike holds memberships in the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the Rhode Island Society of Certified Public Accountants (RISCPA), and the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA). He is a board member of the Providence Foundation, an affiliate of the Greater Providence Chamber of Commerce that works toward the revitalization of downtown to provide long-term economic and social benefits for its citizens. He is an active member of the Washington County Fair Committee and is responsible for the fair’s entertainment, advertising, and website. He serves the RI 4-H Club Foundation as Golf Committee Chair and is a committed member of the Southern Rhode Island 4-H Club, running the kitchen for three days at the annual fair. Mike also coaches in the Exeter-West Greenwich Little League program.
Education & Licenses
Mike earned a B.S. in Accounting from Northern Illinois University. He is a Certified Public Accountant in the States of Rhode Island and Illinois and a Certified Internal Auditor.
