Matthew Kuchinsky, CPA
Matthew Kuchinsky is a business consulting and tax partner with more than 15 years of experience serving as a business advisor. He focuses on the needs of companies in a range of industries, including law firms, printers, interior designers, and staffing and service companies. He also has vast experience with advising clients in the real estate and manufacturing industries, as well as high net worth individuals and families.
Prior to joining Citrin Cooperman, Matthew spent several years at a small New York-based firm.
As a business consultant, Matthew advises clients on a range of matters, including operational and tax issues, maximizing profitability, advisement on mergers and acquisitions, business succession, and optimal entity selection. He also possesses a deep expertise in structuring complicated transactions for business owners to meet their goals and obtain desired results.
For high net worth individuals and families, Matthew creates planning strategies for tax-efficient wealth transfers and handles all of his clients vast tax compliance needs. He also helps clients develop proactive strategies using various types of trusts to achieve intended asset direction for family groups.
Presentations and Publications
Matthew regularly speaks before groups of financial advisors on various tax strategies and has authored advertorials on topics such as the Fiscal Cliff. He is also an instructor for the firm’s internal leadership initiative and participates as a mentor for the Partner in Training Program.
Matthew is a member of the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants (NYSSCPA). He formerly served as a board member for its Westchester Chapter and Chairperson for its Sponsorship Committee. He was also a previous Chairperson for the Young CPA’s of Westchester, board member and treasurer for both the Volunteer Center of the United Way and the Vine Meadows Condominium Association. Matthew currently serves as a member of the firm’s Executive Committee, where he works with the other committee members in achieving many of the operational objectives of the firm.
Education & Licenses
Matthew earned his B.S. in Accounting from the State University of New York College at Brockport. He is a Certified Public Accountant in the State of New York.
