Kenneth Kirkland is the managing partner of two Citrin Cooperman Massachusetts’ offices, located in Braintree and Woburn. He has over 30 years of experience in public accounting, specializing in tax services, the design and implementation of acquisition strategies. Ken started his career with the Internal Revenue Service which gave him a unique understanding of the tax code and representation in front of the IRS. He frequently applies this experience and knowledge to help protect our clients through proactive tax strategies.
Previously, Ken was a founding member and the managing partner at KAF, which joined Citrin Cooperman in 2016.
Ken consults extensively with business owners, using a hands-on approach to navigate their strategic challenges and succession plans.
He focuses part of his time on the strategic growth of Citrin Cooperman in the Massachusetts market, developing opportunities at the MA office locations.

Ken is a featured speaker at various business conferences, discussing exit strategies for closely held business owners.
Ken is an active member in several industry and community organizations. He is the past Chairman of the Board of Directors for the South Shore Hospital, the Massachusetts Society of CPAs (MSCPA), and the Board of Directors of the accounting association at JHI International.
Education & Licenses
Ken earned a B.A. in Accounting from Southern New Hampshire University and a Master’s degree in Taxation from Bentley College. He is a Certified Public Accountant in the State of Massachusetts.
