Joseph DiPietro, CPA
As a partner of audit and litigation support, Joseph DiPietro brings over 20 years of experience to the New York office. He has extensive expertise providing audit, review, and accounting services to privately held business clients in a wide range of industries, including manufacturing, wholesale distribution, importing, publishing, construction, real estate, investment partnerships, professional services, internet services, and software developers. Helping growing businesses adopt accounting principles (generally accepted in the United States of America) and implement appropriate accounting policies and procedures, clients benefit from his proficient and practical approach to enhancing their financial reporting requirements.
In addition, Joseph provides litigation support, forensic accounting, and investigative accounting services to law firms, including analysis of financial transactions, and reconstruction of accounting records. He also provides assistance to attorneys representing individuals and corporations in connection with criminal and civil litigation matters. With a wealth of knowledge in both forensic analysis and business, he is highly skilled in helping attorneys resolve complex litigation issues for their clients.
Prior to joining Citrin Cooperman, Joseph was a Director of Audit and Litigation Support at Leon M. Reimer & Co., P.C. He was also previously an Audit Senior in the Financial Services Practice of a Big Four accounting firm, providing attest services for international financial service clients.
Joseph is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants (NYSSCPA). He is also a member of the business honor society, Delta Mu Delta.
Education & Licenses
Joseph received his B.S. in Accounting, Magna Cum Laude, in 1992 from the Manhattan College School of Business. He is licensed as a Certified Public Accountant in the State of New York.
