Harry Carpenter is a director based in the firm’s Livingston, New Jersey office, with over 15 years of experience. Harry provides a wide variety of accounting, audit, and consulting services. He specializes in audits, reviews, compilations and consultation on general accounting, business strategy, operations, budgeting, and internal controls. He also provides litigation support and forensic accounting services.
Prior to joining Citrin Cooperman in 2012, Harry served as audit senior manager at a Big 4 accounting firm supervising approximately 25 staff annually on audits, reviews and special projects. While at this firm, Harry was the senior manager in charge of the firm’s New Jersey Summer Mentor Program, chairman of the Social and Networking Committee, a counselor and a mentor to lower level staff, an employee training facilitator, and lead ambassador for community service.
Harry works primarily with closely held private companies and individuals in the manufacturing and distribution, staffing, real estate, construction and engineering, and life sciences industries, and is considered a leader within the firm’s A&A practice. He also participates significantly on the firm’s scholarship, staffing, construction, and A&E committees.
He is currently the co-chairman of the firm’s New Jersey Rainmakers Program, and director-in-charge of all New Jersey based firm activities.

Harry is a member of the Board of Trustees of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society (MS) – New Jersey Metro Chapter and also serves as the chairman of the Board’s Development Committee.
Education & Licenses
Harry earned a B.S. in Accounting from the University of Delaware and is a Certified Public Accountant in the States of New Jersey and New York.
