Eddie L. Rivera is a director in the firm’s Livingston office. He has more than 12 years of experience in public accounting. Throughout his career, his focus has been on gaining and applying expertise in the real estate and construction industries. His clients include investors, managers, developers, and contractors.
Prior to joining Citrin Cooperman, Eddie was the vice president of tax and accounting of a large diversified real estate organization headquartered in New York City.
Eddie works closely with clients, guiding them through various phases of the business cycle including structuring joint ventures, tax planning for development, 1031 exchanges, cost segregation studies, and recapitalization/ restructuring. He provides a multitude of tax services in the areas of planning, compliance, and controversy.
Eddie is a member of the New Jersey Society of Certified Public Accountants (NJSCPA). He is also a member of the Northern New Jersey Chapter of Urban Land Institute (NNJULI) and Commercial Real Estate Development Association (NAIOP).
Education & Licenses
Eddie earned his B.S. in Accounting from William Paterson University. He earned his M.S. in Taxation from Fairleigh Dickinson University. He is a Certified Public Accountant in the State of New Jersey.
