Celso Mataac, Jr. is a partner in the firm’s Bethesda office, bringing a deep breadth of experience to Citrin Cooperman. He provides accounting, tax, and business consulting expertise, with emphasis on Taft-Hartley trust funds, international clientele, professional services firms, and not-for-profit organizations.
Celso served as an officer at Regardie, Brooks & Lewis, which joined Citrin Cooperman in 2015. As an officer, he was responsible for the quality control of the firm's audit practice.
As a specialist in not-for-profit organizations, Celso has helped his NFO clients meet the complexities of tax regulations and financial reporting. His international clients always value his advice, especially in understanding the U.S. tax laws. He enjoys his working relationships with all his clients.

Celso is active in several local and national not-for-profit organizations, serving on their boards and as an officer. He is a member of the Greater Washington Society of CPAs and previously served on its Employee Benefit Plan and Auditing Procedures Committees. He is also a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

Celso is a graduate of the University of the East, Manila, Philippines and holds an M.B.A. degree in International Business from George Washington University. Celso is a Chartered Global Management Accountant and is a Certified Public Accountant in the State of Maryland.
