Arnold J. Civins, CPA
Arnold J. Civins, a tax partner, has more than 40 years of experience in tax, estate, and financial planning. A patron of the arts, Arnie has a specialized expertise in the entertainment industry and serves as an advisor to many individuals in the literary, theatrical, and film worlds. He also has experience advising art galleries and not-for-profit, real estate, and construction clients.
Prior to joining Citrin Cooperman, Arnie spent many years as a tax manager for a NJ-based accounting firm.
Arnie focuses on helping individuals and businesses wade through the complex federal and local tax system. His services include wealth preservation and estate, gift, and fiduciary tax matters such as valuation and compliance. He also has a deep expertise in areas of tax planning, income tax examinations, and state and local tax matters. For not-for-profits, he advises on all facets of formation and compliance.

Arnie has contributed as an expert to publications such as the NYSSCPA’s e-zine.
Arnie is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants (NYSSCPA), and the New Jersey Society of Certified Public Accountants (NJSCPA). Arnie is also a founding board member of the Naked Angels theater company and is on the advisory board of Our Time, a theater group that helps children who stutter. In addition, he is a member of the Small Business Council of America.
Education & Licenses
Arnie earned his B.A. in Economics and Business, cum laude, from Marietta College, where he was also a member of Phi Beta Kappa. He received his M.B.A. from Rutgers University. He is a Certified Public Accountant in the States of New York and New Jersey.
