Andrew Adler, CPA


Andrew Adler is a director in the firm’s Business Management & Family Office Practice in New York City with more than 20 years of accounting experience. He specializes in royalty compliance audits, general consulting, and administrative services to his entertainment and commercial clients. His client base includes music publishers, musicians, producers, writers, licensors, and record, film, and television companies.
Andrew was previously at Wlodinguer, Erk & Chanzis, CPAs, which joined Citrin Cooperman in 2010.
Andrew’s responsibilities include running day-to-day compliance matters in the royalty audit area, conducting royalty compliance audits, as well as general consulting across numerous industries including music, television, film, and commercial licensing. He has successfully conducted audits of direct broadcast satellite service providers and broadcasters, premium cable and satellite television networks, regional sports networks, major movie studios, and leading independent producers/distributors.

Andrew has been published in the Licensing Industry Merchandiser’s Association (LIMA) newsletter and the New Jersey CPA Magazine (NJCPA) on the topic of royalty/licensee audits.
Andrew is a member of the American Institute of Public Accountants (AICPA), the New York Society of Certified Public Accountants (NYSSCPA), the Licensing Industry Merchandiser’s Association (LIMA), and the American Association of Independent Musicians (A2IM). He also serves as a board member of the Alliance of the Artists & Recording Companies.
Education & Licenses
Andrew earned an MBA in Accounting from Hofstra University and a bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of Michigan. He is a Certified Public Accountant in the State of New York.
