Adam Lazarus, CPA
Adam Lazarus is an audit partner with more than 15 years of experience in the areas of audit, tax, and business consulting. He serves clients primarily in the real estate industry, including developers and operators. He also advises businesses in the manufacturing and distribution industry.
Prior to joining Citrin Cooperman, Adam was a senior accountant at an accounting firm based in Washington, D.C.
Advising some of the nation’s most successful real estate owners and developers on their residential and commercial real estate projects, Adam provides a range of services in the areas of tax compliance, cash flow projections, budgeting, financing, and accounting-related matters.
For clients acquiring, managing, or selling properties, Adam advises on all aspects of deal structuring and sourcing. He also counsels clients on the full implications of their tax options and develops various strategies to help minimize their tax obligations.

Adam is the author of an article on Voluntary CRT Programs, which appeared in Real Estate Weekly.
Adam is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants (NYSSCPA). He is also a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) and the Urban Land Institute (ULI). In addition, he serves as a member of the firm’s Education, Scholarship, and Realization Committees.
Education & Licenses
Adam earned his B.S. in Accounting from West Virginia University. He is a Certified Public Accountant in the States of New York and Maryland.
