Citrin Cooperman Celebrates 40th Anniversary

Citrin Cooperman is proud to announce the celebration of its 40th year providing accounting, tax, and business advisory services.  The firm was founded in 1979 in a two-bedroom apartment in New York City with seed money from two iconic rock and roll bands and has since grown into an over $250 million business with over 1000 employees across 14 locations along the east coast of the U.S., as well as the UK, India, and Cayman Islands.

“When I think back at where we started to where we are today – It has been an amazing journey. I am very proud of our evolution and the reputation that we have been able to earn over these past 40 years,” said CEO and Co-Founder Joel Cooperman.  “Much of our growth and success, much of which can be directly attributed to the outstanding efforts of our partners and staff and to our incredibly loyal clients.  I look forward to seeing what the future will bring.”

After initially offering core tax and audit services, as well as services for the music entertainment industry, Citrin Cooperman has evolved into a full-service accounting, tax, and business advisory firm, having built out several specialty advisory service areas, including valuation, forensic accounting, transaction advisory, strategy and business transformation, cybersecurity, wealth management, technology and risk advisory consulting, accounting advisory, business management and family office, outsourced solutions, and more.  The firm has steadily grown through a combination of organic growth and transactions, with over 40 firms having joined Citrin Cooperman in 40 years, lending credence to the firm’s reputation for being top business growth advisors.  The firm will be celebrating the milestone with internal and external initiatives throughout the year.
