Citrin Cooperman Adds EVP of Strategic Initiatives, Sets Sights on Continued Growth

Citrin Cooperman, a leading accounting and advisory firm, announced today that Jason Slivka has joined the firm as executive vice president of strategic initiatives. Slivka will be responsible for the identification, acquisition, and integration of both professional services firms and other companies of strategic interest into Citrin Cooperman. The companies Slivka will be considering include non-CPA firms that are crucial for Citrin Cooperman to provide the innovative, dynamic service offerings for the growth and transformation of current and future clients.

“The days of providing only traditional tax and audit services are long gone,” said Joel Cooperman, CEO of Citrin Cooperman. “Our clients need and expect the best business advice possible, and we aim to continue to deliver. I’m very much looking forward to working with Jason to explore potential synergies in the market that will help our firm and our clients’ businesses prosper.”

Slivka joins Citrin Cooperman with ten years of experience in the professional service industry. Previously, Slivka was the global aerospace sector leader and an audit senior manager at a global accounting firm. In leading the firm’s global aerospace practice, he directed the sector group’s vision and coordinated the global team, which included a variety of attest and advisory services throughout the aerospace ecosystem including the supply chain (manufacturers, suppliers, OEMs and MROs), airport ecosystem (infrastructure, concessionaires and security), operators (airlines, charters, air taxis and other), and financiers (lessors and insurers).

Slivka is the treasurer of Hudson Link for Higher Education in Prison, a non-profit organization which provides an opportunity for inmates to access the most important tool to participate in the advancement of society, an education. In his role as Treasurer, he is responsible for financial reporting and analysis, board presentations, and other finance related management functions. He is also a member of the organization’s strategic planning committee.

Slivka received his Bachelor of Business Administration with a double major in Accounting and Finance from the University of Wisconsin – Madison and his Master of Business Administration from the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University. As part of his MBA program, he studied in China, the United Arab Emirates, India, and Russia. Slivka is a Certified Public Accountant in the State of New York.
