Christopher Brown Joins Citrin Cooperman’s Audit Practice

Citrin Cooperman is pleased to announce that Christopher Brown, CPA has joined the firm as an audit partner.  Chris has over 30 years of experience advising a broad range of Fortune 500 companies, institutional investors, and middle-market investment firms in the real estate, private equity, and financial services industries.  He specializes in financial statement audits, accounting advisory, risk management, regulatory compliance, and business performance improvement services.

Prior to joining Citrin Cooperman, Chris was a partner and Assurance and Advisory Services Practice leader at Mitchell & Titus, LLP, a BDO Alliance USA member firm.  He previously served in various leadership roles at the firm, including as managing partner of their New York office, executive committee member, and chair of their quality and risk committee.

Chris' clients include institutional investors, corporate pension funds, private equity funds, real estate companies, investment management, and strategic growth companies. Chris has extensive experience assisting his clients with meeting regulatory and financial reporting requirements, including the enhancement of internal controls. 

Chris is a Certified Public Accountant in New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Maryland, Pennsylvania, Washington D.C., Illinois, Nevada, and the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.  He is a member of several organizations, including the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants (NYSSCPA), and the Baruch College Alumni Association.  Chris also serves on the Board of Directors for both Young Audiences New York, Inc. and Upper Manhattan Empowerment Zone – Business Resource and Investment Center (BRISC).
