Anthony Moscato, Tax Partner, Joins Citrin Cooperman's Financial Services Practice

Citrin Cooperman is pleased to announce that Anthony J. Moscato, CPA has joined the firm as a financial services tax partner.  Moscato has over 15 years of experience advising private equity funds, hedge funds, funds of funds, investment partnerships, corporations, and high net worth individuals and their families.

 “Anthony has tremendous experience working with a variety of funds in a very fast-paced industry,” said Alexander Reyes, partner and leader of the firm’s Financial Services Practice.  “With increasing regulations and a host of new tax laws and standards, Anthony is going to be a key member of our team.”

“Companies in the financial services space face a host of challenges, including ensuring compliance with US tax regulations.  Having spent his career in financial services, Anthony is a strong addition to our team and will provide superior service and maximum value to clients,” said Partner and Tax Practice Leader Joe Bublé.

Moscato works with both domestic and off-shore clients on complex, strategic tax planning and compliance, with a particular expertise in partnership structures for financial services companies.  He is well versed in the preparation and review of partnership and corporate federal, foreign, and state tax returns and workpapers for hedge funds and private equity funds.  In addition to holding senior positions at one of the largest public accounting firms in the world, Moscato also advised high net worth clients on tax and wealth management at a prominent family office based in New York City.

Moscato is a Certified Public Accountant in the States of New York and New Jersey.  He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants (NYSSCPA) where he is a member of the Taxation of Financial Instruments and Transactions committee.  Moscato received his Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from Baruch College of City University of New York.
