Aaron Cohen Joins Citrin Cooperman’s Health Care Practice
NEW YORK (June 21, 2016) – Citrin Cooperman, a leading accounting, tax, and advisory services firm, announced today that Aaron Cohen has joined its Bethesda, Maryland office.  Cohen will serve as the co-leader of the Firm’s Health Care Practice, as the group looks to grow its national presence.
Cohen has extensive experience providing financial and tax advisory services to clients in the health care industry.  He advises a diverse array of health care organizations across the country, including hospitals, hospices, imaging center, ambulatory surgery centers, and physician practices.

Prior to joining Citrin Cooperman, Cohen served as a principal in the health care consulting practice of Dixon Hughes Goodman, LLP.  Before that, he served as a senior vice president of tax and advisory services at boutique health care firm Cohen, Rutherford + Knight PC and as an associate in the corporate legal department of international law firm Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP.

Cohen provides financial and tax advisory services to his clients, including planning, structuring, and executing a diverse array of transactions and affiliations such as mergers and acquisitions, strategic partnerships, joint ventures, physician network consolidations, clinically integrated networks, and debt financings.  Additionally, Cohen has extensive experience developing and operationalizing new business ventures, undertaking financial feasibility studies, formulating business plans, providing guidance with respect to business valuations, and advising on obtaining and maintaining tax-exempt status.  As part of his practice, Cohen assists hedge funds and private equity funds to evaluate and undertake strategic healthcare investments. Cohen earned his B.A. at University of Pennsylvania, Masters of Philosophy from Cambridge University, and Juris Doctorate from Columbia Law School.  He is a member of both the New York State Bar Association and the District of Columbia Bar.
