Reminder: Provider Relief Fund (“PRF”) Reporting Due 9/30/2022
Providers who received one or more payments exceeding $10,000 in the aggregate during the period January 1, 2021 through June 30, 2021 from the Provider Relief Fund (PRF) are required to submit reporting to the Health Resources & Services Administration (HRSA) by September 30, 2022. PRF recipients who do not submit reporting by the September 30 deadline will be considered non-compliant with the payment terms and conditions and may be subject to recoupment.
Payments received during the period January 1, 2021, through June 30, 2021, were required to be used by June 30, 2022 (as noted in Period 3 in table below).
Note that incremental patient care related expenses and lost revenues attributable to coronavirus from January 1, 2020, through June 30, 2022, are eligible if they were used to prepare for, prevent, or respond to coronavirus. Providers who reported in prior reporting periods may have lost revenues that could be carried forward and applied to Period 3 reporting.
Unused funds (including unused interest earned) that were not expended as of the June 30 deadline on allowable expenses or lost revenues attributable to coronavirus must be returned to HRSA by October 30, 2022.
Please bear in mind that the reporting process can be time-consuming and providers who leave reporting to the last minute may not be able to complete the report in time to meet the deadline. Additionally, once you have completed reporting, please remember to print your reporting submission and retain it for your records.
