During first few months…….
  • Enhance utilization of n-Able (remote management software) to manage diverse client network environments
  • Learn and utilize the fundamentals of n-Able through a combination of previous experience with other remote management software, training videos, documentation, forums and minimal training from other team members
  • Audit existing implementation of n-Able and introduce greater consistency and structural efficiency within it
  • Troubleshoot, test and confirm successful implementation of existing filter sets, tasks and scripts in use in the n-Able environment
  • Work closely with senior technical team members to better understand CCTC’s technical initiatives and existing standards
  • Upon acquiring in-depth knowledge of both n-Able and CCTC client environments, introduce new tasks to further leverage efficiencies of the product
  • Assume responsibility for patching all client environments (using n-Able to deploy windows and 3rd party updates and manage results)
  • Become conversant in CCTC approach to providing outsourced IT services through:
  • Reading CCTC documentation (for products, client environments, updates)
  • Learning by observing CCTC team members
  • Handling limited number of client issues based upon demand

Once n-Able is back under control and working more effectively, this  will continue to be an important part of the responsibilities but it will take less time and will simply continue to be enhanced as we identify more ways that we can leverage it. The person in this job will need to fully understand how n-Able fits in and how it can be used to gain even more efficiencies from it so that we can improve upon the efficiency of our outsourced operation.

Ongoing Responsibilities
  • Learn, update and leverage other server and workstation applications and utilities in diverse client environments
  • Coordinate deployments of cross-client software
  • Manage technical portion of new client onboarding
  • Manage Office 365 deployments and migrations
  • Provide direction for junior staff and assign tasks (not a formal management role)
  • Participate in remote and onsite client support and troubleshooting
  • Keep n-Able and other standardly used software products updated by staying aware of new software releases
  • Work closely with senior staff to more fully understand client environments
  • Play a variety of roles on projects depending upon present needs
  • Ability to learn applications and utilities independently and rapidly
  • Ability to work comfortably on both servers and workstation platforms
